Lt. Dowling began his career in law enforcement in 1984 as a Patrol Officer with the Schererville Police Department. He has served all ranks within the Police Department including seven years as a Detective, three years as a Patrol Commander, and five years as the Deputy Chief of Police. Lt. Dowling is a 1981 graduate of Hammond Morton High School and attended Purdue University Calumet. Lt. Dowling is also a 1998 graduate of the University of Louisville's Southern Police Institute Command Officer's Development Course. |
