When you plan your next vacation, contact the Schererville Police Department and let us know when you will be leaving and how long you will be gone.  The Schererville Police Department will include your home in our routine daily checks to make sure your home and property are safe.  You will need to provide our dispatchers with some basic information, which will be disseminated to patrol division to get the process started.
