Notice is hereby given that Kennedy Avenue will be closed to through traffic for resurfacing from Main Street to Junction Avenue on Tuesday, August 24th and Wednesday, August 25th, 2010. Residences and businesses located north of the railroad crossing will have access from Main Street and residences and businesses locate south of the railroad crossing will have access from Division Street or Junction Avenue. Traffic will NOT be able to cross the railroad tracks. All traffic needing to access residences or businesses located in the construction zone should expect delays. Alternate routes around this construction zone will be US 41 to the west and Broad Street in Griffith to the east. |

Notice is hererby given that the Town of Schererville and its Department of Waterworks, under and pursuant to the Public Service Commission Act, as amended, will file within 20 days of this notice with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission an increase in the schedule of rates and charges for water sold by its water utility in the amount of a $0.5184 per (1,000 gals.) wholesale water cost tracker. The changes in the schedule of rates and changes submitted to the Commission are based solely on the change in the cost of water purchased by this Utility from Indiana American Water Company. The rate changes shall apply for the next practical consumption period following final approval by the Commission. In the event that any customer of the Schererville Waterworks seek to file an objection to this increase request, it may do so by contacting the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission at PNC Bank, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500E, Indianapolis, IN 46204 or the Indiana Office at Utility Consumer Conselor at PNC Bank, 115 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 South, Indianapolis , IN 46204.
