Timothy Arvanitis currently serves as our police departments CALEA manager. Corporal Arvanitis was hired March 1, 1989. He started his 24th year with the department in 2012. Corporal Timothy Arvanitis has served many roles within our agency. Some of the areas include Strategic Planning Committee member, evidence management, Patrol Supervisor, Training Coordinator, Field Training Officer, Animal Control Supervisor, Special Deployment Supervisor, Volunteers in Policing Supervisor, Police Website manager, and police chaplain. Corporal Arvanitis was instrumental in developing the "Car Per Man" program and a proposal to purchase a police dog. Corporal Arvanitis is also active with the youth of the Tri-Town community. He has been president of the Tri-Town Youth Football/Cheer League since 1991. Through his leadership with this program, he has mentored thousands of parents and children since becomign invovled. Corporal Timothy Arvanitis has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Calumet College of St. Joseph in Organizational Management. He is married to his lovely wife Robin and has two children, Riley and Renn, all of who live in the town of Schererville.
