Kenneth Anderson was sworn in as the Schererville Town Court Judge on January 1, 2004. A lifelong resident of northwest Indiana, Judge Anderson has resided in Schererville with his wife and children for over twenty years. Like many region residents, he got his start in the steel mills of Gary and through this financed his education at Indiana University, graduating in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. After receiving his master's degree in sociology from the University of Kansas in 1972, he returned to northwest Indiana, becoming a social worker with the Lake County Department of Public Welfare. While working full time, Mr. Anderson entered the Valparaiso University Law School, attaining his Juris Doctor degree in 1978. As a member of the Indiana Bar since 1978 and a member of the Lake County Bar Association since its foundation, Judge Anderson has maintained a private law practice in northwest Indiana since 1981. Judge Anderson has also been active in the community for years, serving with Campagna Academy and Schererville Girls Softbabll, as well as being the creator and founder of the Lake County History Group. A longtime admirer of Abraham Lincoln, Judge Anderson has written a screenplay and stage play based on the life of our sixteenth president. Judge Anderson was also the host of the cable television program "Law Talk" for five years.
