After more than two decades with us, this week marks the retirement of Diane Horar, Administrative Assistant at the Schererville Town Hall.
She began her career with the Town in 2002 at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and in 2004, following the completion of the new Town Hall, she transitioned into the role of Administrative Assistant to the Town Manager.
During her time at Town Hall, she became known not only for her reliability and skill set, but also for her welcoming presence and her amazing work ethic. Whether assisting residents, supporting other staff members, or helping keep daily operations running smoothly, she approached every task with kindness and dedication. Diane was also the internal Google for Town departments, with a wealth of knowledge that other departments often drew on.
Her contributions have been invaluable, and her absence will certainly be felt by all who had the pleasure of working with her. She certainly helped make the Town Hall a better place to be.
As she enters retirement, the Town extends its deepest gratitude for her years of service and wishes her all the best in this next chapter. She will be greatly missed.
