The following is a list of current major roadwork or road closures in Schererville. Information is posted as it is provided to us. Please check with Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to check the status of US Highway 30 and US Highway 41.

Notice of Road Closure

Where: Park Street from Austin Ave to S. Park Ave
When: Friday, June 19th – 5pm-10:30pm
Purpose: Dino Day - Party in The Park ( Redar Park 217 Gregory St.)

Schererville Parks and the Town of Schererville will be hosting Dino Day – Party in the Park event. Park St. will be closed from 1pm Friday, June 19th to 11pm - Friday, June 19th in preparation for and during the Dino Day – Party in the Park event. The event & vendors will be located ON Park Street.

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE
Where: Junction Ave. From Kennedy Ave. to Joliet St.
When: May 26, 2026 through July 2, 2026
Purpose: Reconfiguration of Junction Ave. as part of Kennedy Ave. Project

Junction Ave. from Kennedy Ave. to Joliet St. will be closed to thru traffic May 26, 2026 through July 2, 2026
The Closure is scheduled for reconfiguration of Junction Ave. as part of the Kennedy Avenue Project.

This will be the first of many upcoming road closures for this project.

Local residents and businesses east of Kennedy Ave. will have access from Joliet Street.

Local residents and businesses west of Kennedy Ave. will have access from Kennedy Ave.

NOTICE OF LANE RESTRICTIONS

Where: Kennedy Ave. from Main St. to Junction Ave.
When: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Daily
Purpose: Utility Relocations 

Kennedy Ave. from Main St. to Junction Ave. will have flaggers present intermittently when relocating utilities for the Kennedy Avenue Project.

One lane of traffic will be closed intermittently to complete work. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic. Delays should be expected.

All traffic is encouraged to plan ahead in using alternate roadways to avoid the work zone whenever possible.
