SCHERERVILLE, IN – On Saturday, June 7th, the Schererville Parks and Recreation Department, in coordination with the Town of Schererville, will be hosting the Annual Celebrate Schererville Parade. This year’s parade theme will be “Decades in Motion.” The parade begins at the intersection of Joliet Street and Roman Road at 5:00 PM.
Please Note : The Parade will end at Joliet St. & Austin Ave (Corner of Homan School).
The Parade will not be ending at Redar Park.
Due to the parade, road blocks will be set up on all side streets in and around Joliet Street and Austin Avenue starting at 4:30 PM. Joliet St will be closed at Cline Ave from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In addition, Joliet Street will be closed from the intersection of Joliet Street and U.S. 30 to the intersection of Joliet Street and Austin Avenue during the parade.
Furthermore, there will be several streets around the parade route that will have parking restrictions on Saturday, June 7th. No parking hours on these streets will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Streets with no parking include: Joliet Street, Roman Road, 67th Avenue, 68th Avenue, Austin Avenue, and Gregory Street. Streets with no parking on one (1) side of the street include: Kennedy Avenue, Wilhelm Street, Lake Street, Grant Street, South Park Avenue, North Road, Redar Drive, and Schafer Drive. All residents or businesses on these streets are asked to have customers or patrons move their vehicles by 3:00 PM to be in compliance with these restrictions.
