Event Description:

On Tuesday August 5th, 2025 the Schererville Police Department will host our 18th annual National Night Out Against Crime event. The event is held at Redar Park from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. This event is designed to bring residents, business owners, organization members and community leaders together with law enforcement for the purpose of promoting crime prevention awareness and strengthening neighborhood spirit. It is a way for the community to come together to celebrate its resolve to reduce crime.

In past years, this event has been well received by the community with an average of 1500 in attendance each year. In order to make this year’s event just as successful we are asking for the communities support and involvement.

We are looking for participants that would like to promote their business by host a kid’s game booth with giveaway prizes, and businesses to display their security or safety products for public awareness.  [i.e. products businesses sell such as locks, security doors, home and vehicle security systems, outdoor lighting, motion detectors & timers, monitoring systems, GPS phone systems, etc. may be displayed].

This event will be here before you know it so for this reason we are asking for a commitment from interested parties as soon as possible. This will allow us time to make all the necessary preparations.
