NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE

Where: Burr Street-From 73rd Ave (Joliet St) to 78th Avenue
When: Monday June 16th, 2025 – October 6, 2025
Purpose: Road reconstruction, water main replacement and concrete work

Burr Street from 73rd Avenue to 78th Avenue will be CLOSED to traffic starting on Monday June 16, 2025 through October 6, 2025.

Work includes installation of a new transmission water main, concrete curb installation, roadway reconstruction and a continuation of the adjacent multi-use trail.

Please follow the designated detour signage during roadwork.

All roadwork is weather dependent.

Local Traffic along Burr Street will have access throughout the project.

All traffic is encouraged to plan ahead in using alternate roadways to avoid the closure area whenever possible.

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE & ROAD WORK

Where: Cline Avenue-From US Route 30 to 82nd Court including the Roundabout
When: Monday, June 9, 2025 - Saturday June 14, 2025
Purpose: Road resurfacing, roundabout resurfacing and concrete repairs

Cline Avenue from US 30 to 82nd Court, including the Roundabout, will be CLOSED to all traffic the week of Monday June 9, 2025 - Saturday June 14, 2025. Road closures will also occur on Rohrman Road and Seberger Road at the Roundabout

Concrete repair and road surface replacement will be ongoing throughout the week.

This closure will also affect the Pennsy Greenway pedestrian/bike trail at the Roundabout.

Please follow the designated detour signage while the road work is occurring.

All traffic is encouraged to plan ahead in using alternate roadways to avoid the work zone whenever possible.

NIPSCO is improving its electric system's reliability, resiliency, and safety through planned electrical upgrade and expansion projects across its service area. As a part of this plan on January 6, 2025, the company will start work on 91st Avenue, between Burr Street and Chase Street to upgrade the existing electric utility poles and wire along that corridor. To ensure the safety of onsite crew members and local residents there will be intermittent road closures in place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday. 

Signage will be placed, and the recommended detour route is Burr Street, RT 30, and W 87th Avenue/Whitcomb Street. This work is expected to last through the end of March, please drive with caution around any construction zone and follow the directions of posted signage and onsite flaggers.   

NIPSCO would like to thank residents for their patience as this important upgrade is being completed and will continue to work with local officials to minimize community impact throughout the duration of the planned work.
