The 2020 Census is finally here.
Beginning March 12, invitations to respond will start to arrive in the mail. These invitations will also for the first time include instructions on how to respond online or by telephone.
Online responses can be made at 2020census.gov and phone responses can be made by calling a toll-free number listed in the response packet.
Your response should include everyone who will be living in your home on April 1st.
If you don't respond, Census Bureau workers canvass homes and other living facilities starting in April and May.
Be sure to respond as an accurate Census count can help impact you and your families futures. The Census determines how much money in federal funding Indiana and state agencies receive, number of Representatives in the US Congress House of Representatives, congressional and state legislative districts, money for various programs that impact Hoosiers, as well as providing data for new businesses or real estate development.
